KAIA Ranks 3rd in Air Connectivity Among Middle East Airports in ACI List 2024

The Airports Council International (ACI) announced Wednesday, Mar. 28, that King Abdulaziz International Airport has secured third place among the Middle East airports in the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Connectivity Index for 2024. The ranking was revealed during the Air Connectivity Conference 2025 held in Shanghai, China. 

The index is based on several key factors, including flight frequency, destination diversity, geographic location, market size, economic factors, air connectivity quality, airline integration, and passenger experience. 

“This ranking marks a significant milestone in King Abdulaziz International Airport’s journey, reflecting progress in enhancing air connectivity efficiency and expanding the airport’s destination network. This achievement is a testament to the efforts made by Jeddah Airports to develop air connectivity in line with the company’s strategy and future vision—which aims to transform King Abdulaziz International Airport into a global and pivotal hub worldwide,” said Eng. Mazen Johar, CEO of Jeddah Airports.

The company reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to operational excellence and strengthening the competitiveness of King Abdulaziz International Airport by expanding its air connectivity network, improving infrastructure, and elevating passenger experience—aligning with the Kingdom’s status as a strategic hub in the global aviation sector.
