Experts from all realms meet at “Mobile Developers Week” in Abu Dhabi to shape the next wave of applications

Abu Dhabi is gearing up to welcome over 60 distinguished speakers representing the world’s leading innovators in smart device application development and artificial intelligence, showcasing the latest breakthroughs shaping the future of technology.

Raising the region’s benchmark in global collaboration to shape the future of mobile app development, the first Mobile Developers Week, organised by OMNES Technologies, the MENA region’s MarTech innovation leader, will feature the who’s who in global mobile innovation.

With the global mobile app economy racing records over $935 billion in value, the event to be held at Abu Dhabi Energy Center, from December 13 to 15, 2025, further establishes Abu Dhabi as a premier mobile economy innovation hub. The event has four specialized stages, GovAI Summit, NextPlay Arena, Droidcon Abu Dhabi, and SwiftHeroes Abu Dhabi, all addressing critical challenges and opportunities in the mobile development ecosystem.

Among the speakers, Corrado Di Bari, Developer Evangelist, Microservices & AI at Oracle Global Services in Italy, has more than 25 years of experience in Information Technology and is currently focused on AI Microservices platform development with the Oracle Database. He will share his vision for ‘supercharging mobile GenAI with a low-code platform for backend knowledge agents.’

Lending added depth to the discussion is John Lathouwers, a Developer Evangelist at Oracle, helps developers harness Oracle Database technology with a focus on microservices and AI. With over 20 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, he partners with developers to drive innovations in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The session is part of the GovAI Summit, a dedicated workstream at the Mobile Developers Week exploring the profound impact of artificial intelligence and mobile technologies on public services, governance, and citizen engagement throughout the region.

Speaking at the Droidcon Abu Dhabi stream is Evgenii Matsiuk, a Staff Software Engineer at X and an Android Google Developer Expert with a 15-year track record. He is the co-author of Kaspresso, a popular Android testing framework, which has made a significant impact on mobile development. He will address the session on, ‘Entrepreneurship for Engineers: How to Launch Your Own Company.’

Kamal Shree is a Senior Developer Advocate at Microsoft and a Google Developer Expert in Flutter & Dart with 14 years of experience in Web Technologies, Android, Flutter, HarmonyOS and Microsoft M365. Also addressing the Droidcon stream, she will share her insights on ‘No Wi-Fi, No Problem: Offline AI in Flutter’.

Addressing the GovAI stream, Dr Kubilay Ahmet Küçük, a computer scientist who spent ten years at Oxford University in various research positions focusing on systems security, will talk about ‘Next Generation Infrastructure Transformation with Cpp.js Native Framework.’ He is the author of the “Confidential Remote Computing” paradigm and has received grants from Intel Corporation for his TEE-related research.
