Bigo Live Revives Beloved Ramadan Tradition with Digital “Fawazeer” Game Show

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: February 23, 2026 – Bigo Live, one of the leading social livestreaming platforms, launched a comprehensive cultural initiative for Ramadan 2026 In a celebration of community, culture, and family. The campaign brings the cherished tradition of “Fawazeer” to the digital age, creating a shared cultural experience for its 700 million users across 150 countries.
At the heart of the campaign is the “Multi-guest Room Ramadan Fawazeer,” a live game show that revives the beloved Ramadan tradition for a new generation. Hosted by top content creator Rimas (Bigo ID: rimesrimo), the weekly competitions will bring together 36 creator teams from across the MENA region, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, and the UAE. The competitions will take place every Wednesday and Sunday from 11 PM to 1 AM, featuring trivia that celebrates the diverse Ramadan traditions across the MENA region and the unique ways people celebrate this occasion in each Arabic country.

In a demonstration of the platform’s deep respect for regional culture, each Fawazeer episode will spotlight a specific country, aligning with national holidays and cultural milestones. The inaugural episode, for instance, will coincide with Saudi Arabia’s Foundation Day on February 22nd to honor the Kingdom’s unique Ramadan customs and heritage, with subsequent episodes celebrating other nations such as Kuwait for its National Day, Tunisia, and more.
To further enhance the celebratory atmosphere, the campaign will offer a host of rewards for both participants and viewers. During each live Fawazeer session, high-value prizes, including the coveted iPhone 17 Pro Max, will be awarded through interactive trivia segments and lucky draws. Running concurrently, a series of in-app events will allow users to acquire exclusive, customized Ramadan-themed virtual gifts, such as the Ramadan 2026 Pendant, Medal, and Entrance Effect, fostering a greater sense of participation and belonging across the platform.
““We are moving beyond standard content consumption; we are building a Digital Majlis,” said a Bigo Live spokesperson. “By gamifying Fawazeer, we bridge the gap between Gen Z’s interactive habits and deep-rooted Arab heritage. This isn’t just a show, it’s a synchronous cultural moment that unites millions.”
The campaign will be amplified through regional in-app celebration content and a dedicated MENA Live House Ramadan Special Edition with sustained programming throughout the month. The MENA Live House will feature 4-hour sessions with eight creators, each presenting 30 minutes of exclusively Ramadan-themed content that aligns with the values of the holy month: religious, cultural, positive, and community-oriented. Alongside the Multi-guest Room Ramadan Fawazeer and MENA Live House events, users will have access to a rang e of in-app rewards designed to enhance their Ramadan experience.
Through this multi-faceted campaign, Bigo Live is demonstrating how digital platforms can play a vital role in preserving cultural traditions while creating new and exciting ways for creators and communities to connect and celebrate during the holy month of Ramadan.
